Pip 3 offers high-speed, genuine random dice rolls suitable for role-playing games such as Dungeons & Dragons®, Fate™, or Dungeon Crawl Classics, and tabletop games like the Yahtzee® dice game.
It showcases an intuitive interface that allows for seamless rolling, touching, and organizing of dice. With swift startup times, subtle sound effects, and unmatched battery efficiency, Pip 3 stands out as the premier choice for 3D dice.
- Interacting with Dice:
- Simply shake the device, double-tap, or force touch any empty space on the screen to roll the dice. Alternatively, if you own a second-generation or more advanced Apple Pencil, you can double-tap the pencil itself to initiate a roll.
- Lock and unlock individual dice by tapping them once or twice respectively. Locked dice will remain stationary during rolls. Tap any empty space to unlock all dice.
- Easily move dice around by using your finger or by swiftly flinging them against each other. On iPhone and iPod touch devices, you can also tilt your device to the right or left in order to slide dice across the screen.
- Adding and Deleting Dice:
- Access a tray with various types of dice by sliding the tab located on the right side of the screen. Drag desired dice from the tray onto the page. A page can accommodate up to 20 dice of any combination.
- Remove unwanted dice from the page by dragging them back into the open tray.
- For Fate/Fudge Dice™ and Weird Dice (d3, d5, d7, d14, d16, d24, and d30), slide the tab further left. Sliding the tray all the way out will toggle between the default dice set and other sets.
- Close the tray by sliding the tab back to the right.
- Colors:
- While the tray is open, choose from a selection of eight vibrant colors on the left side of the screen.
- To customize color presets, simply perform a long press on one of them to open the color picker. Close the color picker by tapping on the left side of the screen or any empty space on the page.
- Grouping Dice into Pages:
- Create up to 20 pages to save different combinations of dice. To create a new page, slide left from an empty space on the last page.
- Move between pages by sliding right or left from any empty space.
- Delete a page by removing all the dice on it and moving to a different page.
- Transfer dice between pages by holding them with one finger while navigating between pages with another.
